RADAR10GATDUL ultra-low-power radar wakes a battery camera when someone walks by
FEATURED

RADAR10GATDUL: only 76 µA with 32 m range

Fits battery cameras, video doorbells and trail cameras: only the radar stays on, and its INT output wakes the main system when someone walks by, so power is not used all the time. In burglar alarms it pairs with PIR as a dual-tech sensor that alarms only when both trigger, cutting false alarms.

Radar ranging: distance from the echo time

A ranging radar sends a radio wave, the wave reflects off the object, and the module measures the round-trip time (an FMCW millimeter-wave radar measures the frequency difference) to work out the distance. Unlike a Doppler radar, which only tells you whether something is moving, a ranging radar also measures the distance to objects that stand still.

Radio waves do not need light, so radar ranging works in the dark, against the light, and in dust or water mist. That makes it a good fit for liquid and material levels, parking space occupancy, robot arms and automation equipment.

Radar Transmitted waveReflected echo Object Distance = wave speed × round-trip time ÷ 2

WENSHING radar ranging modules

Radar 63GHZ-3X3 63 GHz millimeter-wave radar ranging module measuring distance for a robot arm

Radar 63GHZ-3X3: a precise ranging module to build into your product

63 GHz millimeter wave with 3 cm distance resolution and a beam under 3 degrees, so nearby objects are less likely to cause false readings. UART/I2C interface, 3.6–5.5 V supply, 33×30 mm. Suits smart toilets, robot arms and level measurement.

WS-RADAR62GBY 62 GHz millimeter-wave industrial radar ranging sensor

WS-RADAR62GBY: an industrial radar ranging sensor ready to install

62 GHz millimeter wave with a detection window you can set anywhere from 0.5 to 24.3 m. Relay output (NC/NO selectable), setup over a Wi-Fi web page or BLE, and a live distance reading. Used for parking space occupancy, liquid level, forklift load detection and conveyor counting.
